About NYMUN

The Nashik Youth Model United Nations (NYMUN) Society is an innovative, student-led organization located in Nashik, known for being the first non-institutional MUN group in the city. Our team is composed of experienced college students with a background in organizing significant events such as TED Talks and university festivals. NYMUN strives to encourage meaningful conversations on global challenges by simulating debates similar to those at the United Nations. Through this, we aim to improve participants' diplomatic abilities, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.

Our mission to start NYMUN was a long-held dream. We wanted to create something that would give the students of Nashik more opportunities to explore the business world and gain real-life experience in event management and diplomacy through both organizing and participating in MUNs. Our goal was to educate students and provide them with the MUN experience they truly want. We hope our initiative continues to help more students develop essential life skills. It is overwhelming to see NYMUN inspiring others to start more non-institutional MUNs, further expanding the circuit.

"NYMUN'24 which was the first time such non institutional MUN in Nashik i was the delegate of Belgium in UNODC committee. It was one of the best expirences as the learning environment they provided with constant support of OC and even the peers helping out at every step as it was my first MUN as an delegate. There was a jolly plus comfortable space in the room where the chairs were checking up that everyone takes away new expirences and be better! I really loved it and even looking forward to attend the coming MUN as they brought a boost of confidence about trying out new things and challenges too."
